NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR DEBITS GOING OFF

I am writing this to warn consumers about a billing nightmare and lack of accountability involving Matrix, the Automobile Association (AA), and Dotsure. I recently discovered that my tracking device was completely unserviceable and outdated. Shockingly, Matrix has no internal system to monitor whether a client's tracker is actually functioning or obsolete. Instead of taking responsibility for providing a dead service, they blamed me for not manually checking the device. Because of this total failure and shift of blame, I immediately cancelled the contract. Yet, despite the cancellation, the billing has not stopped. When trying to get answers, I hit a wall of finger-pointing:

• FNB banking records prove that Dotsure is the company actively debiting my cash.

• Matrix states in writing that the AA is the party responsible for the account and billing.

Neither AA nor Dotsure wants to take ownership of this mess. One is taking the money, the other is supposedly managing the profile, and both are ignoring the fact that the service was cancelled because the device was useless.

Check your bank statements and your tracking devices carefully. Matrix will let a dead device sit in your car without warning you, and when you cancel, their billing partners will keep dipping into your account. This matter is now being escalated directly to the National Financial Ombud Scheme (NFO)
