Horrible Service and Unfair Pricing
I was involved in a minor accident where I was in standstill traffic and a guy crashed into the back of my car. Dotsure/Oakhurst did not investigate the matter properly and all of a sudden all these exorbitant extra fees came about. I should have read the policy properly but they are under an obligation to verbally make you aware of these extra charges which they did not do. I am now still waiting for the recording to prove it.
They were *********** from the beginning, not know how to handle the claim and contentiously requesting documents that I had already sent several time and documents which they were supposed to obtain themselves.
Right from the outset they knew they were not planning to pay out my claim and therefore they did not investigate the accident nor give it the attention they deserve. Needless to say, they have now decided that my excess has exceeded the claim and they will therefore not be paying me anything.
This is a pathetic excuse for an insurance company .

We refer to your HelloPeter complaint posted on 31 January 2019 regarding the processing of your claim.
Upon investigation of your complaint, the following was established.
- The claim was processed where details and documents related to the claim had to be obtained from you, and same verified to ascertain if all facts were in line with the terms and conditions of your policy.
- We confirm that the extra fees you are referring to herein is your excess structure that was advised and agreed to during the underwriting of the policy. We further confirm that the excesses app**** to your claim were indeed within the terms and conditions of your policy.
- This claim process is necessary to accomplish a fair outcome of a claim. It is however unfortunate that it is extensive at times depending on the merits of each case.
- It is our submission that the outcome of the claim was fair and legally sound, and same will be upheld.
Trust the above is in order.
