Highly disappointed in Dotsure policy

I was with Petsure for over 20 years for all my pets and paid in many hundreds of thousands of rands over that time, they sold out to Dotsure in late 2021. I stayed with Dotsure given I was always happy on Petsure. I never had this issue with Petsure as my animals aged. I have no complaints about Dotsure service as they are very efficient. However i just got a premium increase letter and now all of a sudden as my one dog is 9 I have to pay a higher premium than the other dog that is 7. I queried this and was advised now my dog is nine it is more chance of getting sick. Isnt that the point of paying for years when they are healthy and you don't need the vet so you pay premiums for very little return as on most Insurance policies, so that now I cant even go to another pet medical aid as none of them will take a dog over 9 and even if they did they would load your premium. So now I am just FORCED to pay a higher premium or cancel my cover. How is this treating customers fairly!
