Dotsure - your typical non paying insurer

I wish I could give zero stars as a rating. Let me start with, Dotsure please that they don't want policy holders but instead family, let me tell you just you typical insurer that looks for any reason not to pay. Been paying R300. 00 a month for 3 little furry friends that are my best friends so R100. 00 odd each. Their entry level coverage is R60. 00 so I'm paying almost double, so you'd assume best policy possible right? No where near. So my first claim was for Joey who is suffering with Arthritis, a condition/illness, took him in to the vet and he needed a drip and anti biotics etc so I claimed, first they said we need all the documents - so I resent and made sure that all docs were there, I follow up a week later for an agent to say oh we need all your docs, so I resent. Anyway this went back and forth probably 5 times and eventually they only paid half my claim, but was so tired of fighting and the back and forth that I accepted. Second claim is for Balotelli, I get home from work and the poor guy is in excruciating pain and so I phone Dotsure and explain and ask that if I take him to the vet, will they cover, the agent says as long as it's 'accidental' whatever that means, so I take him to the vet and the vet says I need to do dental extractions and cleaning and he had to pull out 15 teeth as they all got gingivitis, in fact my Balotelli had severe gingivitis according to the claim form, I claim and within 2 minutes, repudiated ILNESS : NO COVER, so I phone and fight it out, my first question was why did you pay Joey's claim for Arthritis? And why wasn't that explained to me, long story short the original call when I signed up I wasn't told that I'm not covered for Illness so the agent I'm chatting to says I'll listen to the recorder call, she phones me back and says sorry the agent wasn't so educated and I'm going to help you, get the vet to say it's accidental on the claim form and we will sort it out - I go back to the vet and he says to me 'I'm fed up with Dotsure, they not doing their paper work properly and refuse almost all my clients claims' so he types a letter on a letter head for me and signs it stating, Balotelli needed the teeth extracted and Dental is the PROCEDURE, and what not. I send that through, get called in two minutes to say still not paying as the vet didn't say it's ACCIDENTAL, and the vet said to me that he can't say where and when the dog picked up gingivitis and that all diseases and illness' are accidental - after all I doubt my puppy was neglegant and got gingivitis because he wanted all his teeth out. I then canceled my policy as they didn't explain their product to me fully and then look for any and all reasons not to pay, but have the skaam to say but sir upgrade your policy and this won't happen going further, no customer service and or help in a sense that their agent was originally in the wrong.
