Dotsure, worst Pet Insurance ever!!!

Had Dotsure policy for accidental cover for 3 years for 3 pets. Decided to claim for 1st time as one of my dogs got out of the yard and her hair matted badly with thorns and grass. To such an extent that she could not move from or open her mouth to eat or drink as these thorns were so close to her skin we needed to take her to the vet. The Vet initially thought that we would require her to go under anesthetics as it was so severely matted but due to her calm nature they could avoid that and was able to shave her while awake. The shave was so close to the skin that it caused a rash and she was in pain for 2 days afterwards due to this. To combat the rash Corticosteroids injection was given. The total claim was made to R415. The claim was then declined as I was told that the Steroids were preventative and the shaving was purely grooming and that my girl was not injured (They classify being injured as being hit by a car, I would classify being injured as any sort of pain due to a accident) and therefore it does not count as accidental. As if I would pay additional to have her half groomed at the Vet when a groomer will charge me R120. I am really disgusted at the way this was handled. We tried in every way to reason with them but they shoved the incident off as nothing. This was the worst service ever received by them after paying for 3 years more than R7000. Avoid them at all cost.
