Dotsure worst car insurer

I have been with Dotsure for more than a year and never miss my payment.Last week i was involved in a car accident.My car was damaged but i could drive it home.I filed a claim with them.My car was at the panel beater for 5 days.On Friday the panel beater phoned me and said that my car is ready for collection and i thought they fixed it.I phoned the insurance and then they told my claim was rejected because my excess is more than my damage on the car.My excess is R36000.R18000 for damage on the car and further R18000 for third party. No third party was involved.The damage on my car is R31000.My claim was declined due to not having a valid claim against my policy.I am so upset and disappointed in their service,I am walking as a very very unhappy customer.
