Dotsure will mess you around!
Stingy, unhelpful and unwilling to assist. Their customer service is shocking. Worst service I have ever encountered. I have been in communication waiting for answers from Dotsure on claiming from car insurance for over 3 months. Did not get answers, when they said they would call back or follow up they didn't. I had to constantly follow up and call every week. The processes they go through are long and tedious and they do not keep you updated as they go. When I finally got in touch with someone they would redirect me around to a million other people who could also not assist. The amount they wanted to pay out was approximately 1/3 of the amount suffered as damages! Stingy, unhelpful and unwilling to assist. Their customer service is shocking.
- when their client took in their car to be fixed at their registered panel beater, a headlight was replaced with a non-branded one compared to the original that was a Mercedes branded one. Not sure which back yard panelbeater Dotsure recommends to their clients but a tale of warning!
- their client was in the wrong and I have a signed affidavit stating liability of the matter from him. There is no way to go about it other than to pay me out for 3rd party damage.
- I received 3 separate panelbeater quotes for fixing my car (3rd party liability) of R97k, R89k and R93k
- After calling for approximately 3 months wanting updates, Dotsure was finally able to tell me that had not received my quotations, even though I had sent them multiple times in different formats!!! I asked them to stay on the line with me while they checked if they could open the quotations appropriately and they finally confirmed (albeit not in writing as I asked).
- Another month passes and I finally get a settlement amount- (yesterday). They have taken one of the quotations and crossed out certain lines, changed prices of parts and labour on certain lines, not included VAT in the amount, and come to the final amount of R72k. First of all, how do they think they have the right to do that? Must the panelbeater just make a plan and find cheaper parts and do a half job?! Who must pay VAT - it is not my money it is government money!
- Only to read the release form that they want me to sign saying they are paying out R30k in full and final settlement! Nevermind the other R60k - what happened to that? I do not get any answers. Their settlement is not even going to cover parts!
It is all out their now. They are ******, their customer service is shocking, their word means nothing. All of these reviews I see are how people have just signed up - wait until you need to get a claim out of them!
