Dotsure will make stuff up to not pay your claim
Dotsure takes a month to process a simple claim, and then says my car was used for Business use, picking up my own gardener and checking up on a neighbors house when they are away is NOT BUSINESS!!!!!

It’s not rocket science to know that picking up a gardener and taking a drive is not ‘business’ related. This is ridiculous. You are looking for any reason to not pay the claim, the claim is legit, we are honest people. And you are losing potential clients as we speak. I have had 11 messages from strangers about my post thanking me for saving them from signing you as insurer.

17 Jul 2019, 18:34So my brother said to the lady on the phone that he uses the car for ‘work’ him meaning he uses it for normal c****s, private use, no business.. so it’s a misunderstanding, but still claim denied... so understanding you are... I hope people that insure with you practice their statement and study their policy before calling for a claim.

It has been established that you misrepresented the true nature of the risk associated with your profile. Your conduct amounts to breach of your contract of insurance.
The insurer determined the outcome of your claim by applying the terms and conditions of your policy. Your submissions do not warrant a deviation from these terms and conditions and as such, we elect to uphold the outcome of your claim.

It used for private property upkeep, that is what was meant when mentioning ‘work’. The definition of business “occupation, profession or trade” was never exercised when using the vehicle.
I hope you feel great about yourselves cheating honest people out of a claim.

The incident driver also admitted that he has been using the insured vehicle for tasks related to maintenance on a small holding, where he is the caretaker.

And he is not employed by anyone as a caretaker, he simply takes care of my home and dogs while I work at sea!!! And I am the owner and regular driver if the vehicle, my brother is listed as a driver on my insurance and uses the vehicle when I am away.
