Dotsure Warranty Rejecting Claim Despite Low Mileage, Ford’s Advice & Zero Customer Care
I work from home, so my car barely leaves the house and my mileage stays extremely low. Because of this, I naturally service my vehicle based on mileage, not time — there is simply no way for me to reach the mileage Dotsure expects within a year. Last year, when I went to Ford to ask if I should service my car, I was told it was too soon because my mileage was still very low. I followed this professional manufacturer advice in good faith. Despite this, Dotsure is rejecting my warranty claim and insisting that my “service history is not up to date,” even though: I serviced my car in 2024, I serviced it again in 2026, My car has consistently low mileage due to working from home, And Ford themselves advised me not to service early because it wasn’t necessary. To make matters worse, I received a call from Dotsure’s claims department, and instead of helping me or reassessing the unfairness of the situation, they simply repeated that my claim is rejected. No effort was made to understand the context, the Ford advice, or the reality of low‑mileage usage. The call provided zero assistance. What hurts even more is that I have had comprehensive insurance with Dotsure for more than 3 years. I have been a loyal customer, paying my premiums on time and trusting this company with my vehicle. Yet when I genuinely need help, there is no regard for me as a client whatsoever. This experience has left me strongly contemplating cancelling everything with Dotsure and taking my business elsewhere. The way this has been handled is deeply disappointing. I have not gone to the Ombud yet, but I do plan to, because this rejection feels unreasonable and unfair, especially given that I followed Ford’s guidance and maintained my car correctly.
