dotsure vehicle service and warranty policy is bogus
Itook out a dotsure service and maintenance policy through 3way marketing. I repeatedly asked for the policy documented to be emailed to me. I finally received it but it was in my spam inbox.
When I took out the policy in September or early October 2020, on the phone call I was told that after 3 consecutive payments I would be able to claim for a service. I mentioned then that I service my vehicle once annually. Last week (10 December 2020) I took my vehicle for service and asked the workshop to claim. He was told that I have a 90 day waiting period and it was 78 days since I took the policy. Furthermore, he was told that I will have to pay for the first service since it will be overdue by the time the 90 day waiting period expires. I want to state categorically that I was never told of a 90 day waiting period nor was I referred to the policy for this. As I mentioned it was mentioned that after 3 payments I could claim. My vehicle is still due for service and I feel that I am being given a run-around because dotsure does not want to pay.
I also demanded my premiums to be reimbursed, I was referred to different telephone numbers but eventually told that refunding is not allowed for month-to-month policies. I want my money back because this police is clearly bogus. I will take this matter to the financial services ombudsman. I am waiting for the sales call recording which I still have not received even though I asked for it on 10th December 2020. I will also publish dotsure on social media.
