Dotsure Salvage Department

Monday June 19th 2023 @ around 15:45 was hit by a car on the left side of the front of my car by a drunk driver with no license and an expired license disc since March 2022! My car was towed and started all the necessary procedures at the nearest police station lodged my claim the following morning Tuesday June 20 2023 with my insurance Dotsure! Days later an assessor called to inform me the car was a write off and she will inform my case handler! My case handler called informing me about the devastating news and I applaud both her services and the assessor they really showed empathy and so much professionalism when they broke the news to be even offered any other assistance if I needed any. A day later Salvage department called requesting my settlement from my finance house, sent it same day to Salvage department days went by without a word from them , called again was told Amanda Mini was handling my case! Amanda called that afternoon she showed no empathy nor professionalism what so ever, she eventually sent me an email with the loss of agreement to my surprise the value of my car as per Amanda/Dotsure was R101k yet I have been to different dealers scan my license disc and the market value of my car was R131k called Amanda to tell I’m not happy with her market value she told me they use a calculation system from the dealers with such a sticking attitude I told her make me understand what calculations are you using that will have such a huge difference in the market value her response with a horrible attitude “they have a choice to use any form calculation ” oh my is it? Really so Dotsure calculation can drop a value of a clients car by a whole R30k told her not go ahead with the payment yet again went to different dealers scan the license disc from my fone the same market value was showed again +-R131k! Amanda called again with her horrible attitude asking if should proceed with the payment told her I’m failing to understand how you got to the R101k market value yet have been around quite a few dealer who showed market value of +-R131k told her to proceed with the payment because I’m car shopping again and I’m struggling to get finance due to the outstanding payment! On Friday July 7 2023 got a surprising email from Dotsure/Amanda amending my car market value from R101k to R110k what a bluff what a joke so how did they value change now after I have questioned the amount she calculated at first! I’m not satisfied because it just doesn’t make even more with the amendment after my questioning. So ladies and gentlemen be careful of Dotsure Insurance because they surely can drop the value of your car when you at your worst! I’m without a car and left with an outstanding amount at my finance house making things worse for me to get re-financed!
