Dotsure misleading cover amount

I am not sure whether this is same with other pet insurance policies but I find the dotsure policy for animals not very helpful. My cat was diagnosed with pulmonary edema by a vet. The claim included X-ray, blood tests etc. Within one vet visit I have reached my annual claim limit for these items. The vet referred me to a specialist vet who then also ran X-rays and diagnosed him with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy - which I cannot recover. The cat will need follow up scans, blood tests etc as it is a chronic condition. Yet I apparently have R 38 500 annual limit on illness cover. If my annual limits on medication, radiology, pathology, hospitalisation collectively total R 12 232 and surgery is limited to R 4 620 per claim I can only ever effectively claim for R 16 852 for any pet the entire year. There is no possibility of me reaching my annual limit of R 38 500 so this figure/offer is misleading. When I took out the insurance I looked at the annual limit for illness and thought I was adequately covered however that is not the case. Is there any other pet insurance that doesn't have such limited cover?
