Dotsure misleadfing information

I currently pay R1007 per month for coverage for my two dogs. On Monday, I contacted Dotsure to ask whether they would cover dental cleaning for one of my dogs, which is estimated to cost between R2500 and R3000. I was informed that the procedure would be covered, with only a 10% excess deducted. However, this morning I received an email stating that only R650 was approved for the claim. Upon further enquiry, I was told that this amount falls under the "Wellness" benefit limit. I feel misled by the initial information provided and am disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding coverage limits. I would appreciate clarification on how these benefits are calculated and why the initial communication did not reflect the actual payout.
