Dotsure is misleading customers

I took car insurance with them in September 2020 when I bought my new car. I was told the cover comes with a tracker from Netstart and I told them that I'm already paying for it via the car dealership and do not need it and they said it comes with the cover at no cost to me then I agreed. I canceled the insurance for a better offer in January and asked if I wanted to continue with the tracker and said no, I don't need it since I already have one. To my surprise, I received an SMS that Netstart will debit R145 for a tracker and when I called them for clarity they then told me that on the terms and conditions it was stated that should I cancel I will have to pay the cancellation fee but this was never advised to me when I sent them an email to cancel. I believe I was ******* to take this tracker while I insisted I do not need it but was forced to install another one. honestly, this is daylight light ******* by both parties as Netstart should have picked up that I do have an existing cover with them but believe this was one of the desperate selling and they do not care if the customer will be over-insured. right ow my credit profile is being damaged because of this selfishness and reckless selling and I have to deal with it.

I will not pay the cancellation fee unless Dot sure pays half of it.
