Dotsure is indeed a dot insurance

I took an insurance with Dotsure as soon as l bought a car on the 23rd of March this year. I paid a premium of R1078 for a comprehensive cash cover and R178 for an excess buster and R148 for scratch and dents and Tyre damages. I was unfortunately involved in an accident on the 18th of June 2024 at 20:00 l hit a buck on my way from work. I phoned Dotsure who towed my vehicle to a panel beater of their choice. The panel beater did a quote of R50800 and it was rejected by the insurance decreasing it to R32000. This R32000 was subtracted due to an excess that was doubled unexpectedly to R27000 leaving me with R5000. That was the money l was paid to cover 50k worth of damages. Please guys be careful l had to borrow 45k to offset the shortfall. This insurance will leave you dry and helpless. Read their policy documents before you sign them. Take it to the lawyers if you have to as these are ****mers who only take your monies and desert you when you need them the most.
