Dotsure and Chronic medication

Unfortunately, Dotsure do not reset the amount you can claim when your policy is renewed for chronic conditions but the word chronic does not appear in the policy document. Our Dachshund is 13 in June 2023 and was diagnosed with Cushing disease in November 2022. Out of the R19000, Dotsure paid R6700. Now they will not cover any of his tests to see if the medication he is on is controlling the Cushing disease. Reason for this is we have claimed the maximum for a Chronic illness. These test cost around R2800 per 6 weeks. Prior to Dotsure, we were with Petsure (Hollard) with Scooby being a member since he was 4 months old and every year our benefits were renewed (same as Human Medical aids) So effectively, Dotsure is saying we need to take him off the medication and let him DIE !!!!
