DOTSURE - 30% premium increase

Dotsure is not the company they are publishing. My furry child's premium increased from R1 470.40 per month to a ridiculous R1 903.66 per month. An increase of almost 30%. Upon enquiring about the enormous increase their response was "Please note that pet insurance is risk-based, meaning that the more claims submitted, the higher your pet’s risk profile becomes, which directly impacts the premium". Why taking out the insurance - to have cover. So what they actually saying if you don't claim the premiums will not really increase but if you do claim, you will have an increase of almost 30%. This is ridiculous. Dotsure you have learned me a good lesson here about honesty and dishonesty. If I had saved the premiums over the past 5 years, I could have paid cash for Vet services. Don't be conned by the smooth advertising.
