Do not insure with Dotsure for vehicle insurance.

I just like to share my experience been insured with Dotsure vehicle insurance for the past 2 years and not defaulting on any payments or making any claims!!! I am currently sitting with an immobile vehicle. On the 4th November 2023 i was involved in durban CBD with municipality bus that rammed the back left rear door on my vehicle in congested traffic.I was on my way from work to go home.The bus driver admitted he was at fault, i therefore took all his details down and i reported it to the nearest police station within 24Hrs. I had called my insurance thinking that it was the right thing to inform them of what had happend and that they would assist me,but they had picked up that my car was not assessed by a glassfit.However i informed them that i did have my car assessed by glasfit but they said that they do not have that information and therefore i would have to pay R7000. So i had left that claim got a quote from a panel beater which was affordable and therefore was going to fix the dent up myself aswell as municipality got no money and they would take years to fix 1dent up. Unfortunely on my way to work the following week i was involved in a 7car multiple pile up on the M4 early Monday morning.Badluck i guess! My tracking company contacted me 1st and i therefore asked them if they could please contact my insurance (Dotsure). They did so but unfortunately i could not get through to them.The (vultures)tow trucks were at the scene followed by Metro police and ambulance.They took all of our details down.They were all very helpful. Going back to the tow truck which i had asked them if they are contracted to dotsure and said they are.I therefore had my car towed too a nearby storage ficility which they assisted me and calmed me with a cup of coffee. They were very helpful!They contacted my insurance gave them all my details and so on. I reported the accident to police station within 24hrs. I managed to get the certificate from the glasfit for my vehicles inspection previously and submitted it to Dotsure which i feel they failed on and were looking for loop holes. The following day one of the Dotsure agents contacted me and said that i must not be offended of any of the questions they ask me. I was gladly happy to assist them.Going back to 2015 i was involved in a drinkin driving case which i paid a fine. I am insured with them only for 2years now.Two days later i get a call from my insurance saying that unfortunately my car is written off. I was very upset.The next day i then get a call from them stating my claim has been declined because i did not mention to them about my drinking driving case which happened in 2015 8years ago. I was shocked because they were taking my money every month for two whole years and then emailed me that night saying they have cancelled my insurance(Dating back to 1st November 2021). So basically it means i had no insurance with Dotsure for 2years. I had to pay almost R8000 to take my car out from storage which they could agajn not help me it had been there for a week and i had to pay for the tow truck to tow my car home.Dotsure took my money and they through me in the bush.I've never had this problem with any other insurances. I even used to get a no claim bonus for not claiming.I am not sure with Dotsure if it works the same with pet insurance but for car insurance you guys are pathetic!!! ******!!!.I hope this message reaches out to everyone that looking for insurance please do your homework first before looking for insurance for your vehicle especially not with DOTSURE. Never again!!!! Please !!!!!
