Dissapointingly, avoid Dotsure for Pet Insurance
Unfortunately, what started out as a very good onboarding, the service after I've become a client leaves a lot to be desired. I have made a claim for approximately R12k with proof and an overnight stay being required at our local vet. The payment was less than 50% of the claimed amount with no explanation as to why. I have attempted to get feedback via email 5 times and phone 4 times over a 2 week period and still I have been unable to get someone to pay me the courtesy of contacting me as promised. Unfortunately, the companies values don't match the brochure. At this point, I would suggest you avoid for pet insurance.

03 Jan 2024, 12:10Update - Contrary to the automated message above, I received no call from Dotsure. I then had to follow up about 7 days after this message was posted to be passed around between 3 people. After explaining the issue 3 times I eventually managed to get someone to commit to review the issue and get back to me. I was then called back to say the invoice was missed. I only sent a single invoice which was partially paid and not covered fully as it should have been. The call centre person confirmed the amount that should have been paid in a follow up phone call with a commitment to to solving the issue and to getting a manager to call me back with an explanation. That was on the 19th of December. The payment and issue have not been resolved and I have received no call back from a manager as was committed by the call centre. Once again, I recommend you stay away from Dotsure.
