Dishonest and misleading Insurance practices

After my mom passed away they called me to stay with the insurance on her car, I came into an agreement provided they understood I will not be the primary driver of the vehicle.

However the car was bumped into, when we claim I am told my other is the nominated driver and no one else was nominated, this information was not relayed to me when I was asked to take up the insurance.

They have been very dishonest in their dealings,

Why would they ask me to pay for a vehicle insurance for someone who has passed on?

In what world am I the payer not also covered?
