****** ****** Smart box my foot.
<p>The disgust and dissapointment i have toward Dotsure . They say earn up to 25% with them if you drive smart given that you have a smart box installed. then they say it is a 36mnths contract.. what kind of a clause is that. so i cancelled my policy with them and now Netstar is telling me that i owe them R1800. for cancelling my policy. why must i be penalised when in fact the purpose of that box is no more. if i wanted netstar to track my car i wouldve contacted them but instead they are ****** getting business by manipulating people by making them think they they are infact saving. sies man.. FYI im not going to pay that money stuff your Ts and C's because its all ****. </p>

You purchased vehicle insurance with Dotsure.co.za and it was a requirement of the policy to have a Netstar tracking device installed (Smart box). You were advised that the Netstar tracking unit would be on a 36 month contract. Your were also advised that your insurance premium is inclusive of the smart box subscription fee, however you would be liable for the remainder of the Altech Netstar contract should you cancel your vehicle insurance policy with Dotsure.
Furthermore, you were also advised that you would be liable for an early termination fee should you wish to cancel the Altech Netstar contract.

I wonder if the ombudsman will feel the same way. Your insurance that is not binding has a requirement that binds your clients with a company that you have some interests with.. You make things seem as though they are part of the policy that one can't do without and then in turn you sell me to another company for services I did not require.. Nothing is in order. I am not happy with that response and I'm not about to.
