Avoid PATHETIC Dotsure!!!

In short, DO NOT USE DOTSURE for car insurance. Not sure about their other offerings, but these people are a bunch of ******. An Egyptian guy knocks into my car on 20 Dec 2019, he doesn't have license nor any identification. He can't even speak English. I take pics of him, my car and his, number plate etc. He gets on the phone, next thing I know I'm surrounded by about 8-10 arab guys. This is at 7:30pm, it's getting dark, I'm alone on the road. I decided to leave because they started becoming aggressive when I mentioned calling the police. I get the guy's number before driving off. I make a accident report with the police the next morning and log a claim via Dotsure's website. Today is 14 Jan 2020, my claim has still not been finalized. Nevertheless, Zukisani Luwana (this person gets paid for doing nothing) from Dotsure asks me via a series of emails and sms's to do her work for her, by getting copies of the accident report from the police station. Not once does she call me. In order to expedite matters, I reluctantly do it. I email the accident report with 3 separate quotes from panel beaters to Dotsure or Oakhurst (whatever you want to call them). My 3 quotes ranged from 14k to 21k to fix the car. Just after I insured with Dotsure I remembered that took out additional cover called a Excess Buster, which means, I pay no excess because my excess is insured. Today, 14 Jan 2020, Dotsure calls me and tells me they will only pay me R2660.50 (two thousand six hundred and sixty, and 50 cents) to fix my car. I am being penalized for claiming within 6 months of the start of my policy. So, the penalty is that I have to pay two excesses for this claim. These people primarily insure animals, so it's natural that they would treat their clients as such. Once this claim is finalized, I AM CANCELLING my policy with this pitiful company. If you do want to make use of their services, approach with EXTREME CAUTION! Get advise from the ombudsman first.
