**** and immature services

Dotsure should get tip's from innovation group in terms how to handle claims, what is needed before rejecting a claim. I called in October to check the policy status because I was not sure if the 3 month's waiting period is over and I was advised that my warranty is still on waiting period. I then used the MVIA warranty I had to claim and the claim was paid by MVIA, I had a shortfall I needed to pay and I have paid for fuel injector and fuel pump, my vehicle was then fixed and driving fine with no issues. I then experienced engine failure early December and claimed for engine repairs with Dotsure because the waiting period was over. My claim was rejected because I enquired about the status while I was on a waiting period. I then disputed the rejection because the fuel system issues I had paid for has nothing to do with the oil pump failure that currently led to engine failure. I even emailed them the tracker report for them to check that my car was mobile and fixed, together with the authorisation provided by MVIA warranty for fuel pump and injectors including my bank statements and proof that I also paid the shortfall. The dates where in line with the dates of my enquiry after I was told that I was still on a waiting period. They then said I have to choose one policy between the one I have under dotsure (the unlimited), I told them that I will cancel the MVIA and they requested proof of policy cancellation before they can assist me. I then cancelled the MVIA and emailed dotsure proof of cancelation. After I have done follow up with them from December today they told me that the claim will remain rejected because I had two policies in place when the current engine claim was logged. I know cancelled the policy that I had an opportunity to claim from as per the request from dotsure and the unlimited. I now don't have the opportunity to claim from MVIA because I was advised to cancel one policy. Furthermore I went through the policy wording from dotsure (the unlimited), there is no part on the wording stating that the claim will be rejected should I claim while having two policies. I never claimed for this failure with MVIA and as a client I have been misled to cancel the policy that I could have claimed from, they are now using the reason that is not on the policy exclusions to reject my claim, I have been using Uber to work the whole of December and January because of their poor service and not attending to claims until you initiate a call for follow up. This company is a **** full of candidates that needs to be taken to school to understand FAIS legislation, code of conduct and TCF.

This is not surprising, sense of urgency is something that is not taken into account for this company, the attitude is always bad, still no feedback from them, not even a courtesy call.

Still no feedback and when they get asked about Turnaround time they are telling you that they don't know. A hello Peter complaint TAT is 2: working days as per FAIS legislation, but again still doubting that the employees are compliant. The service is low class and will never recommend people for their poor services. At first my claim was rejected without collapsing all necessary documents and information that will help in adjudicating the claim fairly,. They are now looking into the claim even after they had enough chance since November. I had suffered financial loss using bolts and Uber to work from November together with my wife travelling from Benoni to Sandton and Randburg for work.

Today it's Wednesday, my vehicle has been at the repairing workshop from November, we now in February, and they cannot even advise what is the hold up. When having all supporting documents the claim should be finalised within 2 working days,it is not like all supporting documents were only sent recently, the documents were sent last year and yet I am expected to be patient?. I am still paying finance instalment for the vehicle, imagine paying 3 instalments for the vehicle that you not driving because the so-called warranty decided to reject my claim unfairly, after my dispute, supporting documents were sent and they have changed the rejection reason, after my second dispute I was requested to email supporting documents, and last week they have changed the rejection reason again for the 3rd time using the reason that is not on the policy wording, do m expecting the 4th rejection reason as a confirmation that the claim was meant to be rejected from the word go. To me this is **** and if I will not get feedback by close of business the matter will be taken to other platforms including Ombudsman.

Dotsure did again, they now changed the rejection using the reason that is not on the policy wording. Under the wording it states that "if you have an active manufacturers warranty , we will not assist until your manufacturers warranty expires" , the warranty I had was with MVIA , after market warranty.

Even their manager Lanathal Isaacs went through the wording he does confirm that it states "manufactures warranty" but he still continue saying that the claim will remain rejected even after i explained that the warranty I had was with MVIA not manufacture, as a manager I was expecting him to acknowledge that the rejection reason was not fair and it is not on the policy wording, I was expecting him to take 1:step back to review the wording and discuss the matter with the insurance because of the ambiguity. Instead he gave me attitude and told straight into my face that the claim will remain rejected. The position of being a manager lies with taking the client's valid queries into consideration,to apply TCF , and to understand that you can not edit the policy wording during claims adjudication, instead he was bold to acknowledge that the wording states "Manufactures warranty" and the warranty I had was not the manufacturer's warranty but aftermarket warranty with MVIA and still was not keen to relook into my dispute, I guess Ombudsman will rule out. May I also ask all call recordings since the claim was logged to be emailed to ***

Hi, yes thank you for adjudicating the claim fairly at last, I am happy with the final outcome but please teach the stuff to collect all necessary information before finalising the claim to avoid unfair rejections.
