After 10 years of sticking up for Dotsure, I'm done! Horrible experience.

If I could rate zero I would! Dotsure advertise ''soft landing'' with their claims. This is a blatant lie & false advertising. I hit nothing but a brick wall with my claim, I had NO ''soft landing'' whatsoever, quite the opposite, here's why.... I used to stick up for Dotsure & defend them when other insurers tried to convince me to change. But after this last claim, the experience so painful & stressful & not to mention expensive for me. I have to reconsider my options. Someone else smashes into the back of my car, not my fault, yet I'm left with having to pay over R16k in (over & above 10% excess), because I can't tow my car 20kms or 40kms away from where I live & work, to one of the two options provided by Dotsure. There are perfectly good panel beaters 2kms from my location, yet I'm expected to have the car done far away from home/work. But because Dotsure conveniently don't work with any of the MANY panel beaters within a 2km radius from my location, I'm left with their quote which is under industry norms. A nice loophole to continue approving the lowest possible quote, but not considering logistics don't work for the client. Soft landing? NOT! As the other driver hit into the back of my car, they are at fault, they confirmed they are insured, so Dotsure will get their money back, but I won't get back the R16k I must pay in to get my car fixed at a place close to home/work that's convenient for me. Soft Landing? NOT! Fully comprehensive insurance? Not! To make matters worse, my car has been standing for 11 days trying to resolve this, then I must wait another week for spares to be delivered then another 15-20 working days to get the car repaired! That's 5 - 7 weeks without my car, already also out of pocket with car hire as the car hire provided in this instance insufficient. After this matter is settled I will be considering my options, which is a pity, I used to be happy with Oakhurst, but since changing to Dotsure, the process just gets worse & worse & worse. Each time I have had to claim, due to other people driving into the back of my car, I end up suffering & it's because Dotsure's client service is insufficient, they don't try to make your life easier, the don't try to give you a ''soft landing'' at all. There must be better insurance options out there, I'm certainly going to look!
