40% annual increase on pet medical aid

11 years I have paid pet medical aid. Started off with Petsure, now dotsure. They increased my fee with 40% this year because my dog turned 11. If you look at my claim history, I do not think this is justifiable. R12,523.19 we've claimed over 11 years.

WORST OF ALL, is now apparently we get extra benefits..... But my dog has arthritis, been diagnosed in the past few months. They paid out +-R5000 for treatment. And now it is done, not a cent more. NEVER EVER no chronic benefits

If I want to continue taking care of the dog, I will have to pay the vet monthly out of my pocket, plus this policy of R464.

They did the dog's blood test etc, and he is in excellent health otherwise, teeth perfect full of life and energy. He has been cared for well over the years.

I am not sure how long we will be able to afford to pay cash for treatments. My heart is broken. In the end we will have to put this beautiful boy down, because we will simply not be able to afford it anymore.
