16 days…

My cat was limping and not herself on 24 December. I took her to the vet who said she was likely injured in a cat fight or had fallen. He administered an antibiotic and an anti inflammatory as a precaution. This was all written down on the claim form.

Once the claim was processed I saw that it had been filed incorrectly by dotsure as an illness not an injury so only 50% paid out. I called them back and they requested ‘proof’ from the vet that cat was injured. My vet wrote out another claim form which I sent to them that same day (24 December). Please note the fact that the cat was limping and injured was written on the original claim.

I heard nothing back until 30 December where their next email stated that the new form wasn’t sufficient (note this is now a week later).

I contacted my vet again who said if they need specific details dotsure as the insurer need to contact them directly - I sent this information through December 31st.

I have sent multiple follow up emails which have all been ignored. No response, no feedback, nothing.

The issue here is that the claim was filed incorrectly by dotsure - neither my vet nor myself left any information out yet in doing a runaround with zero feedback from them. It’s pretty disappointing.
