Dirty Dorp Street Deli

The hygiene & cleanliness of this well known eatery in Stellenbosch on Saturday, 4 April 2015 left a really bad taste in a manner of speaking.<br> <br> The areas behind the working and display counters were really dirty with dirt, dust and pieces of food. The corner of the food preparation area was stacked with dirty pots and pans. This was definitely a source of attraction of the many flies that were also ever present. <br> <br> Breads, cakes and cupcakes were displayed on the counters without covers and obviously a resting place for the many irritating flies in the deli.<br> <br> The dining area floor can really do with a good scrub as well as a regular broom during the course of the day since this too was scattered with pieces of food, paper and other debris.<br> <br> A health inspector would have failed this institution today at 14:30.
