Not paying back my full deposito amount

The dormehl property group took my sisters deposito, which I paid and after not approving her application for a rental house kept back an amount of almost R1000.00 After I queried them they said I can make contact with their laywer?? very ***** and ridiculously !! I am not giving them any business !! Please be awere of these croocks
