feels like dealing with rogues

met with estate agent, was pressured and coerced to pay 1000 and was told that this would push me to the front line of the applications and that i have to pay immediately, at this time i was the only person to view the house and it was not listed as yet, was told that could only move in 1st April, after paying immediately as requested the property was then listed and other people were shown the property. the next morning i was rejected with out putting any application through as yet even though i was ensured that i would be in the front of the applications.
