Dormehl rental agency - Pathetic service

AVOID like the plague!!!!!

This company did not place an interested family. The agents did not help us sort legal requirements relating to the lease and did not even send us the lease agreement as promised. They cancelled the placement and I luckily managed to sort lease directly with the interest individuals myself with the help of my rental lawyer. No move in inspection was done either but they are chasing placement fee although they didn’t follow through with the complete placement process. They caused us stress with lack of communication. I also had to draft the lease myself after work and finalise with the tenant.

I’m now reporting them to the relevant authorities.

Even though we informed them the tenant paid me rent on 27 feb 2025 and I paid them the first month rent on 28 Feb 2025 they still sent a statement adding interest on the rent. I sent them proof of payment too but they still invoicing us. Beyond unprofessional and *********** agency.

In addition I did not receive a sincere apology to date after I emailed them (head office management and service provided by queensburgh branch). This is honestly a laughing matter at how their business is run.

I strongly advise against using this agency. Cecilia and Dale are very unprofessional including the rude management whom don’t care to build or repair relationships. This was issues for the February 2025 placement. If I could give zero stars I would have or minus stars!!!

I had better experiences with Prop4U and Prom Properties for Queensburgh. In Pretoria I used Realnet agency.
