Paying for Loyalty Card??

Saturday night, a group of 6 of us went for a Birthday dinner at Cradle Stone Mall. The food was exceptional, the service was good and we had a good time. Just before receiving the bill the waiter asked if we would like a loyalty card, I very enthusiastically agreed as I thought this would be my new regular spot. Loyalty card comes and so does the bill with a charge of R30 for the loyalty card. Firstly, the waiter did not explain this at all. Secondly, being a holder of many loyalty cards, I have never EVER had to pay for a card to be loyal to a company. and Lastly, it makes absolutely no difference to me that the R30 was loaded on to my card for future use, which was the waiters only explanation, no apology for not reiterating that before obtaining the card. I am honestly disgusted by this. I really felt ****** and conned. I honestly don't think I will return to one of your restaurants, unless maybe to redeem my OWN R30!
