Empty employment promises

After months of being in contact with Ivan regarding a general manager position at Uhmlanga branch;I were told by him to get to Uhmlanga;I resigned my position and moved from Rustenburg to my aunt in Port Shepstone to await my meeting;I contacted Ivan a lot of times to set up a meeting and finally were told to go in on Tuesday and were told to be there at 12:00.I am sure you are aware that when you are not employed that every cent counts and with a 8 month old and a 11 year old boys;I spend more than R800 to get to the meeting and almost did not make it home as I had to use public transport.Ivan were 2 and half hours late and I were only asked 5 questions that could have been done over the phone.

I were told that he will be in contact over whatsapp and I have messaged him with no response up untill now.

I then mailed Doppio Zero head office also with no response.

I am very upset because I resigned my employment;traveled a whole day;spend money I can not afford and all that for what feels like a **** meeting and somehow to cover for incase I take it further;feels like it was a **** meeting because someone has messed up.

I am not a nasty person and if I were told that I would not have any employment with the branch then I would have not resigned my employment and thanked them and wished them well.

How does this make sense to take a working man with a family and provide empty promises?

Now I am stranded with no employment and R800 less to provide for my family.
