Doppio Zero Florida Road, Durban: Disappointing Experience with Potential for Improvement

Visited Doppio Zero on Florida Road and left quite disappointed. Despite the aesthetic appeal and the fact that it’s halaal, the experience was far from satisfactory. We endured a 40-minute wait for food, only for it to arrive cold. The outdoor seating area was dirty, with flies everywhere, which made it quite unpleasant. Adding to the frustration, the manager—feeling bad about the situation—offered complimentary drinks, but the waiter later came to demand payment. This clear breakdown in communication only added to the negative experience.

As a traveler from Johannesburg, my intention isn’t to tarnish the business but to highlight areas for improvement. A clean, well-coordinated, and enjoyable dining experience is key for making any establishment truly worth recommending.
