BAD SERVICE, DISAPPOINTING FOOD BASSONIA BRANCH

The best thing about this establishment was the friendly greeting upon arrival. Despite being told to book when I called, the restaurant was almost empty on Sunday 24/11/2019 at lunch time.

Our waitress was half the problem; she seemed disinterested in us, and would keep looking elsewhere while we talked to her. She couldn't remember who ordered which beverage in a party of four people and forgot to bring the fourth drink completely.

The food took a good 50 minutes to arrive. I think the chef might have had the day off as my Seafood Curry was absolutely awful; the rice and the "curry" were totally devoid of any seasoning and all I tasted was chili in a very watery sauce with hardly any coconut milk. It had the consistency of a Thai clear soup.

a Chicken Caesar Salad (which was always delicious at the now closed branch at the Mall of the South) was mediocre as the chicken seemed to be left over from the day before and the bacon bits were tiny and as hard as nails. Altogether lackluster and tired looking. The two other meals of Cheese Tortellini and the Halloumi and Roast Veg salad were acceptable. On the plus side, all the meals were generous portions.

It was very clear to me there was no management present, just the waiting staff standing around and our waitress who was disinterested and annoying.

I won't be going back there again, I'd rather try the Turn n Tender next door which seemed to be buzzing (a good sign).
