Beauty and the Beast

So for those who know me, I have never been the type to do my nails or hair but for once I wanted to spoil myself and get my nails done. I’ve seen how pretty it can look on friends so I was absolutely excited to get my own done.

For my first time at Domynails_sandton , It was simply horrid. The gel on my nails was bumpy and it just wasn’t nails I would take out and flaunt. When I went back in to get them removed, the owner kept insisting that I should’ve gotten a manicure before getting the gel and this is why they look like this. Mine are the shorter nails in the photo and the other is a friend’s nails that was done at the same place a while back.

They were fully aware that this was the very first time I was getting them done so had they suggested that I may need the manicure prior to the gel than I would’ve appreciated the suggestion and would have done that.

I was civil enough and asked if they could do the manicure after removing the gel despite the mess-up on their side and the owner was adamant that my nails were beyond their expertise and as per her words, “ for your sake and mine, I don’t think we should give you the manicure”.

It’s one thing to mess up but it is another to not admit that you were in the wrong. Money isn’t a issue but the time wasted on this whole debacle is not appreciated especially when some of us hardly have the time and have to make time for these sort of things.

Your business was horrid and so was the service and I hope no woman feels the way I felt today…
