Poor service at Domestic UIF and sister company, Baby Benefits

I would like to make known my dissatisfaction with the services at DomesticUIF and sister company, Baby Benefits in two, unrelated separate incidents.

Domestic UIF series of events were as follows:

Registered and paid fee in May 2016 to obtain a UIF number for my domestic worker. At that date, I was told I should have UIF number in 6-9 weeks.
In September, I followed up that I was changing jobs and therefore email address, and enquired as to existence of UIF number – I was told it was not received yet and they acknowledged my change in email address.
After still hearing nothing, I followed up in December 2016 and was told ‘nothing was received yet’.
I followed up again in January 2017. Got no response at all.
Followed up again in March 2017 at which point I was sent a letter containing my UIF registration number, which was dated September 2016.
When I enquired as to why this had not been shared with me earlier, I was forwarded an email which was sent to my old email account (which does not exist and surely they would have received an error message in any case, never mind my instuction to change correspondence address). In addition, this email was only after I had followed up in January and the letter was dated September, indicating they had been sitting on this information for months and telling me they did not have it.

I will be liable for the back payments, penalties and interest as a result of payments I have not been able to make for the last 6 months as a result of not being informed of my UIF number and debt.

My dissatisfaction with Baby Benfits was in respect of my maternity UIF claim, which took 6 months to be settled due to Baby Benefits submitting my documents, when in fact there was an obvious error that they had identified and were aware of. This resulted in my claim being delayed for 6 months. I had not previously complained as my claim was eventually settled, however given this is the sister company for Domestic UIF I cannot help remember the bad service.
