Mr Dolllen Mbogeni Mahlalela acted as rental agent for my daughter. We have now found out that he is not a registered agent. The chaotic way in which he went about doing this job, caused serious problems: monthly rent were payed at irregular dates into the owner's account, proof of payment was not send through every month. He is now in arrears with rent from last month while the rent for the new month is pending. When the problems were brought to his attention, as proof of payment, he sent through weird screenshots of money paid into somebody's account without any identification of the bank or the person whose account was reflected. Nothing showed in the owners account. The same irrelevant attachments were sent to us numerous times . All the emails and phone calls consisted of unfulfilled promises. He still ignores requests to pass on the contact details of the tenant, which in an oversight, was not added to the contract. Property owners should check the credentials of people who offer to be their rental agents - irrespective of what they promise.
