Horrible website updates, terribly inadequate consultants and THE WORST policies.

I bought a pair of scandals from Doll Me Up's online website, and after receiving my order around the end of October 2019 I didn't immediately start wearing the pair of shoes. Later in November I finally saw my opportunity to wear the shoes, and after wearing it for that ONE TIME I noticed that the heel of the left shoe had shattered almost as if I stepped on a small rock and was breaking off piece by piece. I immediately informed Doll Me Up of this and realized it should be a factory flaw seeing as only the Left shoe was damaged. I spoke with a consultant, Lisa, who asked me to send through some pictures. After sending emails back and forth for a few days I quickly released they will not allow me to do an exchange and stated that their policies entails that any damages should be reported within 7 days of receiving the order. I clearly stated that I hadn't gotten around to wearing it immediately and insisted that they replace this obvious factory flaw. I started to realized that she didn't even read my email properly as she said that a "factory flaw" cannot occur on two shoes in the same pair, but I clearly stated in my email that is was the LEFT shoe ONLY and attached two images of the shoe, one with flash one without. They denied my request and insisted that it was just ME that had the problem with their products, as if factory flaws is some kind of mystery in their industry.

I wanted to try and save this pair seeing as only one wear wasn't enough for the amount I paid, so I went ahead and replaced the left heel in January of 2020 seeing as I paid a pretty penny of over R400 for this pair of garbage, adding an additional R160 to the final cost of this pair of shoes. After receiving this pair back from the local store I wore it ONCE more, and after my day I realized the sole of the same LEFT shoe started to brittle away JUST LIKE THE HEEL. I immediately got enraged and knew that my original speculations of a factory flaw was correct! Just because I took longer than 7 days to report this issue I was denied a return and refund from Doll Me Up.

While I'm here I would like to state that their consultants are also very incapable of doing their obviously uncomplicated job, as earlier in 2019 I placed an order for R1200 worth of boots and first they informed (after ordering the shoes in the sizes I desired as were available on their website) that the sizes I ordered are no longer available and that I (after paying the full amount) have to change my order. I chose different sizes in hopes that it will still work for me, and after it was couriered to me I found that they sent the incorrect color of one of the pairs AFTER confirming with me via Whatsapp which colors I wanted, twice. I requested a return after which I learned that even though the website stated the color I wanted in my size was still available, I was informed by the consultant that it is out of stock. They basically forced me to choose a pair of shoes in the size and color I originally didn't want.

They just lost a very valuable client.
