STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!
DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT USE DOGWOOD GROOMERS!! Lets start with the fact that the establishment is very dirty, thick dust and unclean floors as you enter the grooming parlour. Then let's address the fact that the manager, as well as the groomer, knows nothing about breed-specific treatment and neither listens to instructions. I took my beautiful Golden Retriever for a groom and specifically instructed them THREE TIMES not to cut his mane, or lovely long coat, as we'd like it to stay long. I just asked for his hair to be neatened. I made it so clear. I returned to find out that they had SHAVED HIM!!! Not just that, but it was a very bad shave job with gaps all over his fur; he was also cut all the way to his skin in one or two areas. I was so angry when I arrived to collect him that I paid and left (at this time, I didn't actually see how bad it really was). When I returned home, I gave him a full check and then contacted the owner. The owner called me full of explanations of how its the groomers first time etc etc, asked for pictures, which I provided, and then ... no reply. He has since ignored my calls and passed a message through his manager saying that I am not entitled to a refund as they gave my dog a wash.
