Taken to attornys

I was admitted in hospital on the 23/05/2017 *** . I had to pay R508.40 Which i paid R200 on the 01/08/2017 which i advised that i will pay the full amount as time goes on however i faced financial problems. I never refused to pay them and the last communication i received from them was on the 16/11/2017 advising me to pay the outstanding amount which is R 308.40. I never received a notice that i must pay the remaining amount or i will be taken to the attorneys. However this morning 09/01/2018 i received smses and emails stating that they are from the VAN RHYNS ATTORNEYS and i must pay an amount of R 875.49 which i did not even get a warning and am being advised that i must pay for the legal fees. Reference number for the attorneys: 246295

I tried calling the doctors to no vial, i would like them to explain to me how i was taken to the attorneys without my knowledge.
