Overcharged

I moved to JHB from CPT, contacted my Medical Aid for Doctors around my area (because Im ~25 weeks pregnant). They gave me quotes and I chose Dr Bilankulu. because she was closest. The check-up went well, until I got my bill: she charged me ~R2300 for that checkup when I was paying ~R500 for the same thing when I was in CPT (which doesn't make sense).<br> Sent her and her Assistant/Receptionist an e-mail, complaining about this matter. She didn't bother to respond, only her Assistant responded - I requested my Medical Records so I can seek other cheaper options, and the only thing I got (after a MONTH of pestering) was a referral letter and my HB blood results - when I enquired about all the other stuff (weight, blood pressure and etc) her Assistant told me she cant make a copy of the Dr's file. <br> Its funny though because, from CPT I got everything the Dr ever did on me. <br> <br> So, R2300 later the only thing I have to show for that visit is my HB blood results. Soooo disappointed!!<br> <br>
