Extremely Disappointing Experience with Doc 4 You / Anelisiwe

7 Jardine Place, Ormonde, JHB. I had a very disappointing experience with Doc 4 You and Anelisiwe, who was recommended to me by Certificate Assist SA. I paid R3,600 upfront for assistance with obtaining my marriage certificate. I was given an 8-week timeline. One day before the full 8 weeks were completed, I still had no document, no success and no clear information on the progress. This was extremely stressful because my embassy appointment was getting closer and I was under tremendous pressure to have the document in time. Despite explaining the urgency, I experienced what I felt was a very blasé and indifferent attitude from Anelisiwe. Nothing seemed to phase her, and I was left constantly having to chase for communication. I even travelled from Pretoria to Boksburg by Uber, costing me approximately R600, in an attempt to get a case number and clarity myself. I also contacted Angela from Certificate Assist SA to explain my frustration with the lack of communication and service from Anelisiwe. Unfortunately, there was nothing she could do. I understand that government processes can sometimes be delayed, but communication and accountability are still essential, especially when a client has paid upfront and has a strict deadline. Although I understand that both companies may be legitimate businesses, my experience made the entire process extremely uncomfortable. Paying 50% upfront to people you have never met requires a great deal of trust, and unfortunately, this experience did not give me confidence. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend or refer Doc 4 You, Anelisiwe or Certificate Assist SA to anyone.
