Overpriced, boarding on price gouging

I asked for a quote from Docassist, to have three documents processed by the apostille in Pretoria. The company is essentially a courier company which handles documents needed for visa clearance etc. They quoted me an amount of over R2000 to take three documents from Cape Town to Pretoria. The Apostille itself is free of charge. When questioned about why it would cost so much money, they owner refused to tell me how much their administration fee was and insisted it was much more than just a courier service (which is exactly what it is). It is in fact cheaper for me to go to a different doctor (one listed on the certified by the apostille) than it is to have it couriered to Pretoria. This is an insane amount of money to charge people, there is absolutely no transparency about where the money goes and why it should cost so much, besides the owner stating that her employees have to pay for parking and petrol. She was very rude and abrasive over the phone, when asked to answer quite simple questions about the enormous amount of money required to send three documents through a legal process that is itself FREE. I would not recommend this service to anyone. If you are looking to send your documents to an apostille and you don't have R2000 to waste on administration fees then maybe do what I'm about to do and opt for postnet, they will do the exact same thing for a fraction of the price. The owner said she has been running this business for over 8 years and yet her treatment of potential clients is shocking, she stated that pick n' pay don't tell you how much of what you're paying goes into administration fees, however I don't pay over R 2000 for a loaf of bread. Any service industry should be able to give you a breakdown if they are not trying to ****** an exorbitant amount of money out of you. Thanks but no thanks.
