Military Veteran Bursary Not Paying Fees

My name is Luthando. I'm a writer and an aspiring musician. I was studying Sound Engineering in Cape Town at a school called CityVarsity, in pursuit of my dreams.

I was studying under the Military Veteran Bursary. We went through the whole process but no payment was made. I got kicked out of school and wrote to the Military Veteran several times. I emailed and got email addresses to forward too but no action was taken. I wrote to their Facebook page, no reply. Called the call centre no assistance.

I now currently am home, because I can't afford to pay school fees and accommodate myself in Cape Town, as I'm from PE.

I copied the email I sent to them below. I don't know What else to do as I have exhausted my options. Any assistance will be highly appreciated.

Please find below my email I sent to DMV. The DMV website kept saying I must try again later. Please assist me with progress to this matter as I have been struggling since 2017 to receive payment and now I am not schooling. Your assistance will be highly appreciated.

I don't know where to start with this email. I have been trying countless times to reach your call centre and my calls went to no avail. As the phone would ring but no one would pick up.

In 2017 I app**** for funding and I didn't get a reply but I continued with my studies. I then app**** for 2018 funding and my application stated approved in March, but when I checked in June, my approved status was removed.

I was currently in my second year of study at CityVarsity CapeTown. Due to no payments made I was not allowed to write my June exams, The bursary failed to cover for my accommodation fees where I had to travel two hours to and back from school.

Yesterday was the beginning of my June exams and I got kicked out due to no fees being paid. I was really relying on DMV to take care of my fees but no payment was made now I have no school and have wasted 2 years of my life.

The humiliation I got when I was told nothing was paid and I was not registered, meant I have to go back home. The money my parents wasted for my taxi fare, traveling to and back from Cape Town to PE.

I would like the DMV to please get back to me, and come with a solution as to how payment will be made. How can I go back to school cause I feel like two years of my life is lost and now my parents are in debt.

I don't want to take this to the public protector but if I don't get a reply, a solution and an apology from the DMV, as the DMV has violated my right to free education. I will be forced to take it to the public Protector if no reply, or solution is brought fourth. Now I am another statistic to the drastic number of black drop outs in South Africa while I want education.
