Shortened lifespan because of debt

On my Credit Profile I see oh gosh DMC says I owe R2000 for debt paid through an Administrator over 10 years. Its been 13 now. Surely the debt has prescribed. It shows so negatively that I am at the age of 43 unemployed, homeless and have to stay where I find place for me and mt child becaude I have to pay for debt that exceeds the allowable collection period. How ludicrous 14 YEARS LONG AND DEMANDING FURRHER PAYMENT.
