PRESCRIBED DEBT

My mom called me at work to tell me there are gentlemen looking for me for a Capitec debt that goes back to 2008. when i spoke to the one gentleman he gave this referrence ***2 stating I owe R14000.00 + and need to sign an agreement that i will pay it. upon hearing this i asked him does he know that what he and his company are doing is ******* hence the debt is older than 3 years infact it is 7 years old. he told me to call the office and they gave me the same details with an a discount offer allowing me to pay R7000.00 on an instalment!!! What irritated me even more was this gentleman telling my chronic mom that i may lose my job because of this! Since when are ********** debt collectors making threats now?? really???<br> <br> i want them to leave me alone! this debt has been prescribed, i have had no statements from them, no summonds, made no payments to them either. so why are they contacting me again??
