DMC refusing me to pay my debt

I have had a debt that i was not aware of that was 624 that accumulated to 2900...I called wanting to pay up in February and they did not show tbe R500 I paid claiming they cannot find it. From Sept 05 i have been calling without success trying to settle the amount. Iam told that the account is with the tracers that they cannot contact i need to wait... It has been a month and weeks with no assistance. Iam told that i can't pay the debt untill the tracers contact me... What kind of **** is this
