I was given a credit card back in 2014 by Nedbank despite the fact that I had made it known that I had recently been retrenched and unemployed. Eventually the card ended up in arrears but no legal action was taken. They called me back and they threatened to attach my property etc thereby making me pay a small amount. They never served any summons and as such the debt is now prescribed . I called them a few weeks ago and they told me they sent a summons which I know isn’t true because I would’ve received. I have since been requested to write to the Consumer Protection or Ombudsman and lodge a complaint.
