DMC is taking advantage of people

My Truworths acc was bought by DMC because it was in arrears. They have also listed me on ITC claiming that it's on behalf of Truworths and when I contacted Truworths legal department, I was told that Truworths didn't instruct DMC to do such.

Fast forward- I contacted DMC and I was told that I last paid the acc in 2016 and I requested for a detailed statement. I was sent a statement but it was not detailed. It just showed a balance of R2000 and nothing else. How did they arrive at that amount? DMC bought this acc next to nothing and now they are trying to rip us off.

I want to settle this acc so that I can clear my credit and be able to get a job because I can't when I'm being listed but I need a detailed statement because R2000 is ridiculously high.
