Depressing Paid up account that can't be updated

<p>I had an account with foschini and due to my work contract termination I couldn't afford to continue playing my monthly fees and my account was handed over to this company and after I got a job I paid all the money owed which was in August 2014, asked for a paid up letter and cancellation / an update for the account and till to this day I'm still sitting with that debt on my name and no update done after several attempts . Can someone assist as this is ruining my credit profile </p>
